Advanced - Alchemy of Herbal Medicine
October 2011-May 2012
Registration closed, this class is happily full.
The Intermediate level program is the pre-requisite for moving forward into this Advanced Level. In this course we deepen all of what we've learned together the year previously by applying our skills to real clients. Nearly every class includes clients coming in to have their case taken by students, and herbal health plans are created to meet the individual needs of each person. Lifestyle, nutritional, and supplemental considerations are also included to offer complete holistic care.
About the Instructor:
Jamie`s European grandparents first introduced her to the healing power of natural medicine.
While seasonally gathering herbs in rural Ontario, they lovingly taught her about the traditional wisdom of herbs and plant lore. Motivated by her own health challenges, she began a professional study of natural medicine at Emerson College of Herbology, leading her to study with renowned herbalist Susun Weed at the Wise Woman Center in NY.
Jamie is an inspiring and gifted teacher and an intuitive healer. She brings the experience of her own healing journey into the classroom, along with many years of clinical experience as a health practitioner. As a high school graduate of the Toronto Waldorf School, Jamie is an avid supporter of Waldorf education, biodynamics, and the nourishing traditions of whole foods. She currently practices homeopathy & herbal medicine at the Green Raven Centre on Salt Spring Island and teaches throughout the US and Canada.
