The initial consultation takes approximately 2 hours. In a safe and nurturing environment, we will discuss information about your physical, mental, and emotional health. Particular to the homeopathic consultation, time is spent investigating the complex pattern of your likes and dislikes and your reactions to your external world. This attention to specificity is given to gain a deeper understanding of your general well being and your individuality. Factors that may have contributed to, or caused your illness, including stress, shock, trauma, and family history, are also taken into consideration.
Jamie may recommend herbs, nutritional supplements or individualized lifestyle changes to assist your body during homeopathic treatment. While homeopathy addresses the underlying cause of the disease or imbalance, herbs and nutritional support act to nourish and gently detoxify organs and tissues. As your practitioner Jamie’s goal is to guide and assist your transition to renewed health and personal freedom.
Appointments
Office hours are 8:30AM - 6PM Tuesday through Friday. Phone calls and emails will be returned by the end of the day received, or, the next day, Tuesday through Friday.
Constitutional Treatment:
Constitutional treatment addresses chronic, long-standing conditions.
The length of the first appointment is between 1.5 to 2 hours; the cost is $160.
Follow up appointments are usually 45 minutes long, and are $85.
This fee includes your homeopathic remedy.
Telephone and email consultations are billed as regular time.
Acute Consultations:
If you would like a remedy prescribed for an acute illness for yourself or your family member (cough, cold, flu, sore throat, recent injury etc) that likely doesn't warrant a full appointment please book an Acute Consultation. These appointments are billed in 15 minute increments. The minimum time scheduled is 15 minutes at $25. Acute appointments can take place over the phone or in person. I can usually book an Acute Consultation by the end of my clinic day, or sometime the follow day, Tuesday through Friday.

Emergency Care:
If you have a medical emergency please go to the hospital. If you have an emergency and would like to book an Emergency appointment outside of regular clinic hours call my office
(250) 537-0602 to leave a message or email me with Emergency in the subject line. I do not work weekends or after 6PM. However, if I am on the island and available I will do my best to be of service to you in any way I can.
Please note I charge double time for care outside office hours.

Health Insurance:
Registered Homeopaths are recognized by the following insurance companies:
Claim Secure, Green Shield, Medavie Blue Cross, Manulife, Pacific Blue Cross, and SunLife.
It is the responsibilty of the patient to check with their extended benefits carrier to ensure their policy includes homeopathic treatment (sometimes included under paramedical services). If your policy does not provide the coverage you require, you are encouraged to be pro-active. You can write the insurance company, asking them to include homeopathy in your type of coverage.
